The weekend...

This weekend was long, because I burned up some remaining vacation that I have before the end of the year. It was nice to be away from the office for a bit. The next couple of weeks are going to be nice, as they are short and fun. We didn't do much, but did hit a holiday party on Friday, and did successfully finish buying the last of the Christmas presents, got the claws done, and caught up on sleep that I had been wanting to catch up on for a while. I was expecting the big storm to hit us, and it was VERY anticlimactic... but, it was a good excuse to stay inside for an evening. I am trying to steer clear of sugar... and this happens to be the worst time of year to do so. But, I have been successful... so that is good. Yesterday, 3 of my kids in my sunday school class gave me sweets as gifts! It happened to be the day that was the worst day for me with my frustration levels really high. I was pissed off all day. I also decided to give up caffeine and artificial sweetners... so I was terribly miserable. Dax dropped me off to go do the rest of the day at church and I came home and slept it off. Today I woke up and felt much lighter. That was a good feeling. Now it is back to work to see if I can crank out some last minute sales.
